Geelong Wooden Boat Festival
6th & 7th March 2010
Geelong
The fourth Whyte, Just and Moore Lawyers Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong will be held at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club during the Labour Day weekend, 6th & 7th March 2010.
Included in the many interesting activities that will take place both on shore and on the glorious waters of Corio Bay, are the Grand Parade of Boats and Cavalcade of Sail, a Concourse d’ Elegance, racing for the Corio Bay Couta Boat Cup, the Corio Bay Classic Wooden Yacht Cup and the Passage Races from Melbourne and Portarlington.
An enlarged Boat Builders Display, that was such a success, will highlight just part of the many shore displays along with the Historic Display of RGYC memorabilia and other supporting social activities.
A major coup and a welcome addition to the 2010 Festival is the Victorian Couta Championships, sponsored by Yanmar Marine, which will be conducted as part of the 2010 Wooden Boat Festival. This is a great addition to our extensive program.
A fleet of Herrons will be on display and a demonstration race will be sailed off the RGYC marina.
Entry Forms and Notice of Race will be available by the end of October 2009
